1. Share your concept with me -- For pet portraits, this usually starts with you sharing several of your favorite photos of your pet and listing which pieces of mine that you like (view the gallery here). We discuss if you have one or two colors that you'd like to see in the portrait and what traits you want to capture.

2. Quote -- Once I get an understanding of what you're looking for in a portrait and the size of the final print you'd like, I'll provide a quote. The cost can vary based on the size of the final print and the complexity of the portrait (ie curly hair, reference photo quality, number of colors, etc), but the range is typically $500 to $2000.

3. 50% deposit -- To start the portrait, I require ~50% deposit.

4. I develop a "proof" of the final composition -- I develop a rough concept of the portrait, showing which color themes I'll be using. I make sure the portrait will be exactly what you want. This can be an iterative process.

5. I start the portrait and provide progress updates as I go -- I'll send updates of my progress for your input and a final update for your approval.

 

6. I send you the final digital file and a physical print -- After approval, I get the portrait printed on metallic paper and can mat it, so that it's ready for a frame. The size depends on options you select. I also send you a high-res digital file.
